ANIM032 — Effect of Alloferon on the Survival Rate and Flight Performance of Honey Bees

We are proud to share that our research project, “Effect of Alloferon on the Survival Rate and Flight Performance of Honey Bees,” was selected for the Final Round at the 2024 Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) and received the Third Award in Animal Sciences, along with a $1,000 scholarship award.

This project investigated how Alloferon, a bioactive peptide, may influence the survival rate and flight performance of honey bees. By focusing on honey bee health and mobility, the research aimed to contribute to the protection of pollinators, which play an essential role in ecosystems and global agriculture.

Advancing to the ISEF Final Round and receiving an official award highlights the student’s strong scientific curiosity, careful experimental design, and dedication to addressing meaningful biological and environmental challenges.

IRIS will continue to support students in developing high-quality research projects for prestigious international science competitions.

Congratulations on this outstanding achievement!
